Since I became a dad about 8 years ago (at the time of this post), I have realized that at least two of our societies three biggest influences Hollywood & The Media tend to have a very poor outlook on dads (and men in general). Or at least they portray dads as incompetent, useful only for a paycheck, or something equally pathetic and untrue.

The feminist movements also spends a lot of time dismissing dads (and again men in general) as unimportant and unnecessary.
